Welcome from our principal
“Welcome to Katoomba Public School, a vibrant, caring, and inclusive learning community in the heart of the World Heritage–listed Blue Mountains. We are proud of our rich local environment and the strong connections we share with our families and community.
We are proud to be a dynamic learning community where every child is encouraged to strive for their personal best. Our vision is clear: to support every student to become a successful, confident, and creative individual who reaches their full potential. We do this by providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, built on high expectations, respect, and equity for all.
Our dedicated teachers and staff work in close partnership with families and the wider community to deliver rich and engaging learning experiences. We want our students not only to succeed academically, but also to develop the values, resilience, and curiosity that will serve them throughout life.
Katoomba Public School is more than just a place of learning, it is a place of belonging. I warmly welcome new families to discover the unique spirit of our school. Whether exploring opportunities in the classroom, on the stage, in the playground, or beyond, Katoomba Public School is a place where every student can grow, achieve, and succeed. Whether you are a new family joining us or a long-standing member of our community, you are an important part of our story.I look forward to welcoming you to our school community and supporting your child’s journey as a successful, confident, and creative learner.”
