As part of their community access program K6N usually gets out and about in the local community. This allows the students the opportunity to use the maths and language skills they learn in class in real life situations. The class visits local cafes, restaurants, parks, movies and even goes horse riding.
Due to all the restrictions this year the class has not been able to leave the school to access these local services. Instead we came up with some unique ideas that would allow the class to test their skills at school. K6N couldn't go to the movies .... so the movies came to K6N!!!
KPS has turned into a drive in cinema. Students have been working hard on building their own cars to sit in to watch a movie on an inflatable movie screen.
The students had free choice on their car designs. We have a lightening Macqueen, Space car, Thunderbirds car, Zoo Safari Jeep, a dragon, sports car and even a tank. There was a snack bar for students to buy their movie snacks with pretend money too.
Enjoy all the photos!
