15 Oct 2021
We're very excited to welcome Kindergarten and Year 1 back to school full time from Monday (18 October). Staff will be working hard to help the children follow the appropriate COVID safety measures, and you can help too by:
- Not congregating outside the school gates - please collect your child and move straight away.
- Please continue to obey the road rules and parking signs as they are still in operation - a reminder that the flagged Merriwa St "Children's Crossing" operates as a full pedestrian crossing when the flags are out. Never drop off or pick up children on the crossing.
- Please take care driving in the school zone as more children may be walking or cycling to school.
- Find a safe place away from the gate to wait and meet your more independent children in the afternoon.
- If your child is late in the morning, only accompany them into the Office for a late note if you really need to.
- Please drop independent children away from the school so they can safely walk into the school, and minimise the number of adults at the gate.
- Walk children to school if possible, or park away from the school and walk, to stop congestion at the gate.
In the afternoon ...
- Children in KG and K/1R will exit via the Ada St corner gate.
- Parents and carers are asked to remain socially distanced outside the gate and to move away as soon as you have picked up your child.
- Older children who are unable to wait for their allocated return date of Monday 25 October, and need to come to school next week, will depart from the main Merriwa St gate.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
