We are combining our annual Welcome BBQ with the "Meet the Teachers" information sessions, to make it easier for families to join us. The afternoon will start at 4.30pm in the Flag Pole courtyard, where families can mingle and enjoy a sausage sandwich together. The formal "Meet the Teacher" sessions will then run between 5pm and 6.30pm, at the following times: 5pm-5.15pm - Welcome & Introductions in the Hall: Mrs Roberts will provide us with an overview of 2025 at KPS, and introduce you to the staff. 5.20pm-5.50pm - Kindy information session: Kindy parents, carers and children will meet with the Kindy teachers in the Kindy Echidnas room (Ms Abbey's room). 5.20pm-5.50pm - 1/2 Lyrebirds & 1/2 Emus information session: Lyrebird & Emu parents, carers and children will meet in the 1/2 Emu Room (Mrs Griffith's room) 5.20pm-5.50pm - 2/3 Numbats information session: Numbat parents, carers and children will meet in the 2/3 Numbats Room (Mr Marshall's room) 6pm - 6.30pm - 3/4 Fireflies & 4/5 Black Cockatoos information session: Firefly and Black Cockatoo parents, carers and children will meet in the 4/5 Black Cockatoo Room (Miss Charlton's room) 6pm - 6.30pm - 5/6 Brolgas & 5/6 Rosellas information session: Brolga and Rosella parents, carers and children will meet in the 5/6 Brolga Room (Mrs Perry's room) 6pm - 6.30pm - 1-6 Magpies information session: Magpie parents, carers and children will meet in the Magpie Room (Mr Nicholson's room) Please note that these information sessions are general in nature, covering class routines, etc. If you need to talk to the teacher about your child's specific needs, please make an appointment to meet with the teacher separately. If you have more than one child and the information session times clash, feel free to make a separate appointment with your child's teacher for another day. The BBQ will be running until about 6pm in the flagpole courtyard, so stop and enjoy a sausage and a chat at anytime during the event. There will be GF and vegan sausage sandwich options available for a gold coin donation. Please note that children will need to be supervised by parents & carers at all times - staff will not be providing supervision. We will be spending the afternoon in the Flagpole Courtyard and specified classrooms (the field and equipment etc will not be accessible). We look forward to seeing you all.
