Parents & Citizens Association (P&C)

About the P&C

Our school is very lucky to have an active, committed and supportive Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C). The P&C is made up of parents and carers, teachers and community members who meet regularly to contribute to decision-making, developing policies and management plans as well as fundraising. Their actions enrich the lives of all of our students.

The P&C run the canteen, help support our many volunteers, run fetes, BBQs, Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls, they're very involved with the Blue Mountains Music Festival, they apply for grants, run raffles and dream up imaginative, fun fundraising events.

The P&C meet on the second Wednesday of the month. Meetings are both face-to-face and via Zoom, and new members are always welcome to join in and participate.

AGM: 9 November 2022


The 2022 AGM of the Katoomba Public School Parents & Citizens Association will be held online, on Wednesday 9th November 2022 commencing at 7.15pm

Following acceptance of the minutes from the 2021 AGM and the tabling of the Annual Audit Report for the year ended 30 September 2022, all current office bearer roles will be declared vacant and nominations called for the following positions:

• 1 or 2 x President

• 2 x Vice-Presidents

• 1 or 2 x Secretary

• 1 or 2 x Treasurer

Nominations will also be sought for coordinators of the following P&C Sub-Committees:

• Canteen

• Uniform Shop

• Garden

• Fundraising/Events

• Blue Mountains Music Festival

All P&C members are encouraged to attend the AGM to vote and/or nominate for vacant positions on the executive and sub-committees. 

Please note that we endeavour to have shared roles across the Executive. We would really like to encourage new parents/carers to get involved across all areas of the P&C, especially those with children in K-2 as some of our existing members will transition up to high school soon.

At the completion of the AGM the November general meeting will be held. 

The AGM is open to all parents and carers who wish to attend, however only financial members are eligible to vote and/or nominate for vacant positions. Membership is $2 per annum, to be paid by 3pm Monday November 8th by bank transferDetails below:
